For planing flat surfaces or making contours
Ideal when making block log cabins, children's playgrounds, Bonanza fences and similar work
as the plane's blades are very close together the risk of the log or piece of wood splitting is reduced very effectively. (Since the roller makes only one cut in the working width per revolution, reaction forces are minimal).
Branch stumps and thin branches can be dealt with easily.
