The BL Compact S is an electronic wood moisture meter designed suitable for measuring different kinds of hard and soft woods. It is a competent and reasonably priced device which supports environmental protection through lower gas emission from burning dry wood which also protects furnaces and chimneys and optimises the combustion processes. The device is delivered fully equipped with battery, extra pins, protective cap and plastic box. Measuring range for wood: 10 - 50 % atro (dry mass) or 10 - 34 % water content. Features: handy pocket-sized high-speed measure for fast single and series measurements, direct indication of moisture content in % (atro/dry mass) or content of water in % via a 3-line LCD, resolution: 0.1 %. 2-step correction of wood species, min / max and hold functions for measured values, indication of the device's temperature/ambient temperature and automatic cut-off device. Power supply: 9 V dry cell or Ni-Cd accumulator (optional accessory). Size: 175 x 50 x 30 mm (LxWXH). Overall length: circa 195 mm including cap. Weight: circa 160 g.
