With the new EC II-D, distances of up to 50 metres to the target can be digitally calculated with the aid of a reference height. Make a mark on the target at a height of 2 meters. Then move as far away as the approximate height of the object to be measured. First measure the angle to the root and then the angle to the reference height mark. The calculated distance flashes briefly in the display and the EC II-D is now ready to measure the third angle - the height of the target. The calculated measurement result appears in the display. The EC II-D is very energy efficient and does not require calibration.
