For the best kindling when lighting your stove. Mount your kindling blade on a solid wall. Take the piece of wood you are going to use, place its base on the appropriate step for its length and set the blade on the top. Hold the wood in place with one hand and apply some pressure on the handle. It does not take very much to split. Fibrous wood like spruce, fir, birch or ash are best. Made of robust cast iron and painted black. The blade is ground but not sharpened, which makes for a better splitter when using soft, fibrous wood. Suitable for logs up to 35 cm long. Weight 4 kg.
